Today we are trying a 2009 Bodega Elena de Mendoza Red Blend. Made up of 62% Malbec, 21% Syrah and 17% Bonarda, this wine is very nice for the money, with smooth silky tannins. It has some very pleasant berry and earthy aromas to go with berry, licorice and toasty oak flavors. It ends with a pleasing 15 second finish.

I found this wine last year and is difficult to find another blend that taste so good. Drink it at 53F. Is perfect with pastas and ribs.
